This year we decided to hold the Open Garden over two days on June 9th and 10th.
After a week of terrible weather and incessant rain there was some doubt as to whether we would have any visitors to the garden. Thankfully the rain clouds cleared on Friday night and although Saturday morning began somewhat dull and chilly, the weather continued to improve.
We were thrilled to have a hugely successful weekend.
Thank you to all of those who baked scones, biscuits, buns and cakes; to all of the people who helped out over the weekend – those who welcomed visitors at the gate, sold raffle tickets, served tea and coffee, tidied and cleaned. Thank you also to our relatives, friends and neighbours who came out to support us again this year. Finally, thank you to artist Kevin Flood for his stunning painting.
We were delighted to welcome so many new visitors to the garden and look forward to seeing you back next year.
