Updated FARA Research Pipeline

The Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) have just published their updated research pipeline and it makes for great reading. The graph communicates the progress of research. FARA supports the advancements of these treatments. They firmly believe that there is merit in each of the approaches and that a treatment will come in the combination of a number of therapies. ‘Cultivating a Cure’ Symposium participants optimistic about finding a treatmant for FA

Hosted by the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) and the USF Ataxia Research Centre the second annual Scientific Research Symposium drew scientists, clinicians, experts from across many countries. In the last ten years significant advances have been made in coming to an understanding of the molecular mechanisms of Friedreich’s Ataxia. It is exciting to note that more than a dozen drugs are in the clinical trial pipeline.
